East Meon Village History

Past and Present

This section of the website contains a variety of records, including the history of All Saints Church, research into some of the village’s more historic buildings, profiles of notable residents, and a selection of recent events – part of East Meon’s ‘living history’.

‘Lost and Found’ features research carried out in response to queries by people from all over the world whose ancestors may have lived here or, in one case, by the curator of a museum in Texas enquiring about a painting in his collection.

‘Farms and Farmers’ contains a number of reports, mostly taken from the parish magazine ‘Meon Matters’, on agriculture past and present.
