East Meon celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee on Monday 4th June.
The village was bedecked with bunting
During the afternoon, village teams participated in the ‘Loony Olympics’ while their families looked on.

Points were scored at each of a number of not totally serious events.
And pets joined in the spirit of the Jubilee.
A Jubilee king and queen were brought to the tea by Mike Atkinson’s tractor
East Meon vicar, Canon Terry Louden, said grace. In the blue gilet, Jubilee organiser Philippa Tyrwhitt Drake.
The High Street was filled with people celebrating, despite variable weather.
Seating was reserved for the under 12s and the over 60s.

Tea was served to everyone present.
All those attending were invited to bring food for the occasion.
In the show ring, or window, the runners and riders for the duck race were on show, inviting bets.

That evening, a beacon was lit on Park Hill, visible by the whole village.
The final event was a fireworks display above All Saints church
